2016 starts tomorrow (!),I feel like now is the time, to share with you my thoughts of what I will at least try to keep to, as my new years resolution.
I seem to always have that one resolution about 'eating less chocolate' or 'getting more exercise'- that one that I never really achieve - or do for a month or so but then by Feburary start feeling rubbish about myself not doing it and not bothering.
And then I always used to write pages and pages of resolutions that I knew realistically were never going to happen. So this year, I'm only doing five. And this way, I can do them all. And I can feel good about myself by doing these resolutions! And so can you..! I think it would be really cool if you too post five New Years resolutions for 2016 below in the comments and we can update each other on our progress. And a special good luck for any of you trying to eat less chocolate this new year!
So these are my resolutions:
And hopefully read all of your resolutions too! See you next year! (I just love the sound of that!) XOXO
Hello everybody! I hope you have all had the best Christmas, and are looking forward to the new year (which just so happens to start tomorrow!!!). I know it hasn't been very long, but I have missed blogging, and am very happy to be back for 2016!
This year has been SO crazy - crazy in a good way - and i've loved it.This has been one of the best years of my life, for sure. I have really tried to make the most of it, but obviously it wasn't all perfect. (nothing ever is) It has been quite a tough year and there have been some very sad and scary moments this year, but it can never take away from all the happy ones. I've had a lot of fun and I want to say the biggest 'thank YOU!' to all of my friends, family and any readers that have helped me so much, and really made this year a good one. I don't just say this; you mean so much to me and I will always be very grateful.
In Feburary I went to Disney land (Florida) or the first time. I am completely and utterly the Queen of all thing disney, and it was SUCH an amazing holiday! In April, myself and Hallie (one of my best friends) had a joint birthday sleepover and also went ice skating. We had a lot of fun and as you can imagine a lot of giggling and watching cheesy movies! I love looking back at photos from the day! At the end of the school term (July?!) , me and all my friends had a lot of fun at school, at the local pool and ice rink on the last day of year 7. I was so relieved to get through my first year at Secondary. In the summer, me and my family, went on a big adventure. We travelled in Asia through Vietnam and the coastline there, Cambodia and the jungle temples at Ankor Wat, a week at the beach in south Vietnam, and touring the city in Hong Kong. If any of you remember I actually recorded it all in a kind of online diary. (this was before I had my own blog) So if any of you haven't seen it, and want to go check that out, go follow my old instagram account "xx_zoekins_xx". In the autumn I started Year 8, had a few upsetting fallouts but made it through and ended up having a lot of fun back at school. In November I started up my blog. As you will all know, I had wanted one for EVER and I was SO SO HAPPY! (and still am!)In December I did my daily Blogmas fix and really enjoyed writing for you all in my favourite time of year. I had the best christmas and am currently looking forward to 2016. I also reached over 230 followers on my instagram, 734 followers on my pinterest, and over 1,200 veiws on this very blog. Crazy.
All the beautiful places... All the happy memories... Thats what made it such special year for me. How about you? What is your favourite memory from this year? I'd love to find out in the comments below!
Love you all very much, thank you for this year. Lets make 2016, a good one XXX
Hello everybody! So a while back, I asked you guys if you had any questions for me to do a Q&A. I only got one question (which of course I will be answering), but I still thought it would be really fun to do, so I took it upon myself to find a few questions to answer for you in this blogpost. I know this doesn't really have any thing to do with this post, but I just can't believe how fast Christmas is going. It's unbelievable! I'm so so excited for the holidays, and spending lots of time with my family and friends. I also just want to say how cute the little photo above is. I found it on my pinterest and have been loving it since, the person who drew this must be very talented, because it's so beautiful!
So before I start rambling on too much, I'll get started...
Autumn. I love it. (this will be a lot of writing so you might want to get comfortable!) Frosty morning walks in the woods with family and friends. Cozy days when you just stay in bed all day bingeing on disney and christmas films (because it's NEVER too early). Taking for ever to take the perfect "instagram-able" photo, with a pumpkin spice latte nestled in your hands as it's an "autumn thing!"
*sigh....why does it have to come to an end...? *Wait, snow, CHRISTMAS!!! I even love autumn so much I created a day to spend doing autumn-y things! (which was great by the way, I would highly recommend it!) I cooked up three kinds of porridge with lots and lots fruit for breakfast, before getting my family to open up their tiny packages filled with sparkly acorns that were covered in glitter, and hot chocolate mixes. Once I had finally finished planning the day, I was so full I could barely move, but I some how managed to get to of my pj's and we made it out the door without falling asleep after all that food! We then went to the local farm shop, went on a walk, took so many photos, and had a delicious home cooked meal before I fell asleep, drunk with happiness.
And then there's HALLOWEEN! A night full of pumpkins, scary movies, and enough sweets to make your teeth rot! This year, I went to a friend's party, which was SO fun!!! the trick or treating ended up being a little bit of a flop, but somehow (I have no clue how?!) it resulted in us making horror film trailers, which actually ( yet again, I also have no clue how!) looked really cool, and would make a damn scary movie. In cinemas soon...?
I especially love all the colours of autumn. From the the brightest crimson, orange and burgundy, to the dullest of browns. I have found that this month in autumn has been the best clothes out there for me. I have loved zara the most and now that there is the festive clothes coming in too, I couldn't ask for more really! I found some really gorgeous patterned tops in there, and it has been really convenient since a zara just opened in my town centre. I have also loved trying on some more daring lipsticks in some beautiful berry tones, but as Charlotte Tilbury is a little bit out of my price range, I have found that the Kiko 'Rebel romantic intensely lavish lipstick" range are amazing. And under half the price.
My essentialls these last autumn months have been scented candles, hot drinks and jumpers, the big kind that go down to your knee. My favourite jumper is a light pink coloured jumper from new look. I'm not sure if they still have it in (I bought it in September) but everyone should have one! My favourite candle has been anthropologies range in general! I have a pear and whipped cream candle, which I literally want to eat it's that good. I also saw a pumpkin souffle scented candle in store the other day, which was incredible! They are a little expensive at £14 but it is something very special, and would make a great gift. There is also a dupe of it I saw in primark christmas section which was also amazing.
I'm very sad to see Autumn go, but now winter is almost here, just think....CHRISTMAS!!!! Sorry this blog was so so long, but if anyone did read to the end, thank you! And also I would love to know your favourite thing about autumn in the comments! xxxxx
