Over the October Half term I was fortunate enough to travel with my family. Over the course of the trips I took a lot of photos, and I thought that I would share some of my favourites (and some from other occasions i.e. Bonfire night)
I first travelled to Vienna, Austria with my mum and Grandparents, and stayed in an apartment in the centre of town. We visited the palace and the central shopping areas as well as going on a city walking tour and going to a concert. It was such a beautiful city and I loved visiting.
Later that week I also visited Ljubljana, Slovenia with my Dad. This was somewhere I had wanted to go to for a while and is now my favourite city I've ever been to. It was cold and all the trees had turned orange but we still ate ice cream by the river every evening.
We again went on a city tour and visited the markets. The castle is amazing and has the most awesome view which we then saw again at night. Its surrounded my parks and mountains and has a small river running through the city centre. The restaurants and shops there are all very trendy and I couldn't recommend enough visiting.
If you ever go be sure to go get cake at the castle and go to the main pizzeria along the riverside. On the second to last day we rented these retro bikes from our hotel and cycled around the city (which is all pedestrian). This is another thing I would recommend. There is a park very near by with good cycle paths and there are more parks a bit further away just past the castle on the hill.
Whilst we were there we also went to Bled, which is a small town and lake in the valley of the mountain not far from the city. It is accessible by a bus that runs daily from next to the train station, ten minutes walk from the centre (It's a very small city!) It's a great place for hiking and taking photographs. We got a boat and went out to the little island, for about £5. It was so peaceful and was one of the prettiest places I've ever been to.
I'm sorry that I haven't been on my blog for a long time. Life is crazy at the moment and hasn't slowed down at all. But I will still blog when I can...
I hope you're all having a great week, and liked my photos!
